You’ll see some of my pieces feature a screaming figure, this represents my frustrations with life and my wish to be heard. Being a painfully shy child, there are still significant remnants of this in my adulthood.

The missing eyes in the head represent how lost I have felt trying to find my way and the eyes in the hands represent Hamsa, an ancient Middle Eastern symbol, a protective talisman that brings good fortune, health and happiness.

The breasts were the final addition to the piece, as I felt the space needed something, they represent my need to feel attractive, to be accepted, to be loved. They also represent a line of communication and feeling misunderstood.
