Ror lime (2020) – 21 cm x 14.8 cm – Acrylic paints on cream card
A second piece using the same source material of a friend, Rory Walker, this piece was simplified using using black paint outlines with the cream card showing through. I enjoy adding bright colours in the background to contrast the darkness, especially in this occasion the person looks rather glum.
I wanted to portray the sadness I saw in his eyes when we used to work together, he is a very talented illustrator and artist and that’s all he wanted to do, so any time away from doing this was wasted time, even if he was getting paid for it.
