One of my oldest friends, whom I’ve known since the age of 5, Simon Sheppard, emigrated to Texas in 2011 and has built a life there with his then-partner, and son. He came back to visit recently and had a part-Texan, part-Wiltshire accent; it was unusual to hear him reminisce about school times with this new accent!
I feel like I have captured the cheeky chappy essence of Simon here, with his piercing blue eyes.
