Schwarzenegger (2020) – 29.7 cm x 21 cm – Acrylic paints on white card
Arnold Schwarzenneger was a childhood idol of mine. Most probably because I was the opposite of him, as a fat shy child, I must’ve been attracted to his supreme confidence and muscular physique.
In this piece, I wanted to display Arnold as an almost lion-esque, powerful figure peering through red flames. The whiteness of the figure contrast well on the deep red background, appearing as if he was white-hot.
