Miyamoto Musashi (1584- 1645) was perhaps the greatest swordsman that ever lived.
Every dual as a Samurai in that period meant literal life or death.
The source of this piece was inspired from photos taken of the location where Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro’s duel took place, Ganryu-jima is a small and deserted island floating in Shimonoseki city, Southeastern Japan.
