FIGHTING WITH MR.T (2022) – 122 CM X 92 CM – OIL PAINTING ON CANVAS
Part of a series of paintings called ‘Fighting with my Heroes’ explores male insecurity and childhood role models. In this piece, I dominate 80s TV icon, Mr.T, whom I was a big fan of as a child.
As a shy and insecure child, I often felt inferior so the dominance on my part is from the human psyche that wants to be a ‘tough guy’ to prove that they are worthy.
